Partnering with the Harlequins Foundation
The Bentall Centre is proud to support the Harlequins Foundation, a trusted charity delivering vital, lasting change across our local borough of Kingston upon Thames. Focusing on education, employability, wellbeing, and inclusion, the Foundation empowers underserved young people with the essential skills, confidence, and resilience needed to succeed.
Building on the success of the Women’s Rugby World Cup, we are championing SWITCH, their premier girl’s rugby programme. Your support helps expand the initiative into more Kingston schools, enabling an additional 500 girls to participate this year. It funds vital wellbeing workshops and provides pathways for young women to gain RFU qualifications, inspiring the next generation of coaches.

These savings across the centre were due partly to the Covid-19 lockdown, but also to new initiatives the centre has put in place. These included;
The introduction of an on-site Eco-Safe food digester which has eradicated food waste from the centre. The digester breaks down all food and drink waste into a liquid which can be drained down the sewer line. Treatment on-site means no trucks are required to collect and transport the food waste, saving on CO2 emissions and reducing our environmental impact.
The installation of an energy-efficient pump which has reduced our energy output substantially.
Use and create clean energy supplies
Delivering an environment which focuses good health and well-being for our community
Help to create a sustainable and clean city
Do our bit to fight against climate change
Keep an eye out on What’s On for updates on our hard work to start to change the tide on sustainability in Kingston.
